Caspers Park

What a beautiful place! We went with my side of the family to picnic and hike. Jonathan really enjoyed wearing his thoughtfully packed backpack and using his new "grabber". It was intended for his birthday, but he found it early! He was feeding the cats in the cat room, and saw a bag in the corner. He came out with a big smile on his face, holding up the new toy! We didn't see any deer this time at the park, but we did get to explore the very cool nature center. We held a snake and saw lots of "preserved" animals. I thought the animals might confuse Jonathan, but he was okay. I love where we live- there is so much to enjoy!

Almost Four

Jonathan is almost four! We are planning a fire truck birthday party. We were able to talk our local firefighters into bringing the truck to our house! I am working on planning the rest of the details. I am going to serve some of Jonathan's favorite foods. For his cake he has requested "butter rum" cake from the farmers' market. Quite sophisticated, no? He loves that cake, and I think I'm make some whipped cream and strawberries to go with it. Jonathan is blossoming right now. I don't know whether it is due to starting preschool or getting closer to age four. Probably both.
